Toyota Stadium in Frisco is undergoing a $182 million renovation project, with the east side nearing completion and expected to reopen by summer 2026.

The project, funded through a public-private partnership, aims to enhance the fan experience with additional seating, a new canopy for shade and weather protection, upgraded club and suite areas, and modernized broadcast and media spaces.

The renovation also includes new club spaces, redesigned entrances, and a new roof structure for improved comfort and aesthetics. The topping-out ceremony, which marks the placement of the final structural beam, symbolizes a significant milestone in the stadium's transformation.

Construction on the east side began shortly after the January 2025 FCS Championship Game, and the entire renovation is scheduled to be completed by early 2028.

The project is seen as an infrastructure investment and a strategic move to keep the venue competitive for major regional and national events. Since its opening in 2005, Toyota Stadium has been a focal point for sports and entertainment in North Texas, hosting FC Dallas matches, Frisco ISD athletics, the NCAA FCS Championship Game, concerts, and international soccer competitions.

The stadium has also been the site of several notable events in American soccer history, including MLS All-Star Games, U.S.

Open Cup finals, and matches featuring the U.S.

national teams. With the 2026 FIFA World Cup approaching, Toyota Stadium has been selected as an official team base camp, further raising its profile on the global stage.

By the time the renovation is complete, the stadium is expected to not only serve as a regional sports venue but also as a destination capable of hosting some of the biggest events in the soccer world.

PopStroke Entertainment Group, a company partnered with Tiger Woods, is set to reopen its venue in The Colony on March 5, transforming the former Fireside Surf space into The Surf Lounge at PopStroke.

The rebranding aims to consolidate the entire destination under one brand, offering expanded hospitality, dining, and event options in one of North Texas' busiest entertainment districts. Navigating the Cold and Flu Season: Differentiating Symptoms and Seeking Timely Treatment

During the cold and flu season, it can be difficult to differentiate between symptoms that are a result of seasonal allergies, a common cold, the flu, or COVID-19.

Dr. Jeremy Brown, a family medicine physician at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Centennial, emphasizes the importance of getting diagnosed quickly to ensure proper treatment.

He recommends seeking medical attention if experiencing symptoms such as a fever of 100.4°F or higher, recent exposure to someone with the flu or COVID-19, or if symptoms are not typical of allergies.

For individuals with a high fever or difficulty breathing, immediate care at an emergency room is necessary.

Testing is essential to determine the contagiousness of a virus and to prevent its spread to others.

Dr. Brown also emphasizes the benefits of getting vaccinated against the flu to protect oneself and others.

In addition to vaccination, maintaining healthy habits such as staying hydrated, eating well, and getting enough rest can help prevent illness.

Baylor Scott & White offers a variety of in-person and virtual care options for individuals seeking treatment for cold, flu, or COVID-19 symptoms.
